Uniquely Different

Living light Glass Studio offers many Glass Courses available to the beginner and more advanced user. Please call or e-mail for dates available.

Agate Panel (Copper foil). Ideal as a starter course covering the Tiffany teqnique of stained glass. This course is aimed at beginners although students from College Evening Courses will also benifit from the extra tuition. Course will last 3 weeks.

Lead Came Window Panel. This course will teach you the basics of leading to create your very own window panel. Course will last approx 4 weeks. All tools and supplies are supplied.

Glass Bead Making Course. You will be shown how to make some wonderful glass beads made out Italian glass rods using the Hot Head Torch. This is a friendly course with no expierence needed and all tools and supplies are included on the course. This course runs for three sessions over a three week period.

Glass Fusing. This is our latest course and the fastest growing one so book early as places are limited. This is a beginners course giving you an insight in to Hot Glass. You will learn all about Coefficient (COE) of glass, glass types used for fusing, You will make a fused coaster and a slumped bowl to your own design. You then move onto creating a hanging three piece mobile and then move onto fused jewellery after which you will have enough knowledge to create a fused piece of your own design and decoration. For those wishing to take fusing further we also offer a fully stocked studio for you to purchase your supplies.

Friday Stained Glass Club. Once you have successfully compleated one of our courses you are a member of our Stained Glass Club which will enable you to join us on a Friday afternoon to tackle your own projects and take as long as you wish. You will also have full use of our tools and have your own bench and storage space. Along with full tutor support if you require that little extra assistance, were there to fall back on if you need us. You will also be entitled to various discounts and special offers only available to those who have been on one of our courses. Please note you will be required to purchase at least the basic tools to use for your projects. ie. Glass Cutter, Cutting Square and Breaking Pliers etc.. for use at the Stained Glass Club.
